New Initiatives of TBB

• Collaboration continuing with JICA Project: Improving habitats, conservation status, strengthening management at local levels, promoting eco-tourism, restoring wetlands & riparian areas, promoting IGAs, reducing man-wildlife conflicts, Communication, awareness and education strategies for different stakeholders in different PAs, Conservation Reserves (Bison, Elephant & Python), many potential BD hotspots Reserve & Protected Forest areas,etc. 

• Converging with Indo-German Project: Linking village Development Plans with PBRs; Dovetailing PBR and Conservation Education programmes with IGDC based Community Conserve Areas. 

• Exploring link between Committees for the protection of wildlife, forest and biodiversity under Section 4 (e) of RoFR Rules 205 with BMCs at village levels. 

• Collaborating with State Medicinal Plants Board for traditional knowledge documentation on local healers/vaidyas etc. 

• Converging with Tripura Science & Technology and State Pollution Control Board for engaging Eco-clubs for PBRs Completion of BMCs in all the Blocks. Short Documentary on PBR, Eco-Tourism Initiate BMC constitution at village levels. Proposal for Biodiversity Heritage sites and Sacred Groves. Painting Competition in schools and compiling the posters of children in the form of a booklet. Preparation of Coffee table books on the species identified during inventorization of BD component. Creation of Butterfly Park at Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary Workshops on Participatory Biodiversity Conservation livelihood issues around Pas.
